Nick Crooks wins the 2020 grand final
Nick picks up the trophy and a cheque £5,000 with his two day total weight of 16lb – 14oz (report to follow)
The inaugural final of the Northern River Masters will be held on the lower Tees around Yarm and Bowesfield over two days and will be held on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th July 2021. Each year the final will be moved around other Northern River Venues.
The 27 pegs at Yarm will be the “A zone” with the 27 pegs at Bowesfield the “B zone” The overall result will be decided on accumulative weight over the two days.
The draw
The venue for the draw and presentation will be held at the The Golden Jubilee pub, Healaugh Park, Yarm TS15 9 XN. The running draw will start at 8am with fishing 11am until 4pm
Payouts for the final:
We have 54 anglers in the final giving two zones of 27, as mentioned above Yarm will be “A” zone and will be made up into five sections (3@ five anglers and 2@ six anglers) the same will apply to the “B“ zone at Bowesfield. Anglers drawn to fish the “A“ zone on day one will then fish the “B” zone on day two.
“B” zone anglers on day one will fish “A” zone day two.
UPDATE: Due to an angler dropping out of the final we needed to put a reserve in his place and as the next in line for this place just happed to be a tie it now means two anglers will be fishing giving us 55 in the final, this will mean an extra peg and will bring into play four 7 peg sections in one zone and three 7 peg and one 6 peg section in the other zone.
