7. River Don – Earth Centre

With a long history of match fishing, the River Don remains a Yorkshire favourite. In the summer the river can carry a little colour and flow, encouraging the healthy head of skimmers to feed. If the river runs clear, a switch of approach is the way to keep in touch with the large head of roach and perch. Some areas hold an odd chub, but the venue is always capable of giving a great days fishing with plenty of bites. The best methods on the day include pole, feeder and long rod. The pegs for this years qualifier are all on the Earth Centre section (28 to 90) with all short walks to some (28-40) and parking behind most (41-90)

Depths run between eight and twenty feet.
